This page lists what changed in each OneSpace release. The four apps (iOS, Android, macOS, Windows) ship together as one version; each release below has a general part and a platform-specific part. The app stores show a short summary; the full list lives here.
1.5.4 — in preparation
Submitted to all four stores on 18 September 2026; this line changes to the release date once the apps are live.
General
- Adding a contact who could not be linked no longer leaves a leftover entry in your address book. “Try again” now retries the whole step.
- A file that cannot be saved right away (for example because another program has it open) is retried briefly and then reported, instead of failing silently. A transfer whose file has already been saved is never marked as failed afterwards.
- Under the hood: maintenance of the build and release pipeline, and better crash reporting.
Platform-specific
- Windows: the window title now reads “OneSpace”. On new installs the OneSpace files folder is created in your user folder, so it no longer lands inside OneDrive when your Documents folder is redirected there; existing folders stay where they are. Error reporting on Windows now records app sessions, so problems reach us sooner.
- iOS: a clean-up of the app's permission configuration, with no visible change.
Known
- Deleting your account can still end with an error message and an empty profile page instead of the signed-out screen. The deletion itself does go through. A new fix is planned for the next release.
1.5.3 — 9 September 2026
Released on all four stores on 9 September 2026 (submitted 8 September).
General
- Signing in with a wrong password now says so, instead of asking you to try again later.
- Connecting with a contact: clear messages when your profile still needs a name or a confirmed email address, and no more “success” when the connection did not happen.
- Phone numbers: the form tells you to leave out the country code, and the number is cleaned up before the verification text is sent.
- Your plan updates on your other signed-in devices shortly after you redeem a licence, without signing in again.
- Push notifications recover by themselves if the registration was ever lost.
- If our servers are briefly unreachable when you open the app, you stay signed in.
- Under the hood: upload integrity checks no longer derive anything from the content of your files.
Platform-specific
- Windows: the app could fail to open on some PCs because its local database lived in the Documents folder, where OneDrive or another program could lock it. The database now lives in the app's own folder, an existing one is moved over automatically, and if it still cannot be opened you see a message instead of nothing. The app also remembers your sign-in between launches again.
- Mac: the live-location indicator during a Live Transfer no longer keeps loading when location access was not granted.
1.5.2 — 6 September 2026
General
- Maintenance release: the component that stores your sign-in details securely on your device was upgraded. Existing installs migrate on first launch through a protected path; nothing changes in how the app looks or works.
Platform-specific
- Android: built for the latest Android platform requirements.
1.5.1 — 19 August 2026
General
- Files from a previous account no longer stay visible after switching accounts on the same device.
- Transfer session setup no longer hangs on the first attempt.
- Push notifications are shown again.
- Phone verification: the country code is sent correctly, so verification texts reach numbers outside the Netherlands.
- The app no longer hammers the server after a sign-in problem; sign-in recovers calmly.
- A short in-app request for a review after a successful transfer.
- Version numbers now read the same in every store and in the app.
Platform-specific
- iOS: sharing a file into OneSpace from another app works again on iOS 18 and later.
- Android: a start-up crash on some devices is fixed; Android 13 and later now ask for notification permission.
1.5 — 13 August 2026
General
- The app was rebuilt on the current versions of its foundations (Flutter, Firebase, the purchase and subscription components) on all four platforms. This is the first coordinated release on iOS, Android, macOS and Windows in three years.

- iOS: sign-in problems caused by how the sign-in token was stored are fixed.
